Candice L. Komar is a founding partner at Pollock Begg, Pittsburgh’s largest dedicated family law firm, where her legal career has spanned nearly four decades. A dual-degree graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.A. in English and B.A. in Business, 1982) and the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D., 1986), Candice is recognized equally for her formidable courtroom presence and her mastery of alternative dispute resolution. She was a pioneer of collaborative law in Pittsburgh and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Certified Mediator through the Association of Conflict Resolution, and a trained arbitrator through the AAML Arbitration Institute. Candice has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2007, earned Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year in Family Law Mediation in 2022 and 2024, has been ranked in The Best Lawyers in America since 2008, and has appeared on the Top 50 Pittsburgh Super Lawyers and Top 50 Women Pennsylvania Super Lawyers lists. She has also served as Chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Continuing Legal Education Board.
